The Stellaris Elite™ combination platform for both phacoemulsification and vitrectomy needs no further introduction, providing convenient support for your anterior and posterior surgeries from a single platform. But what about its Adaptive Fluidics™ technology?
This platform incorporates Adaptive Fluidics™ technology.
During cataract surgery, anterior chamber stability is a critical factor in successful lens extraction. Adaptive Fluidics™ proactive approach controls and reacts to the vacuum level you require, so you can stay focused on the surgery, not on the system.
Adaptive Fluidics™ & dynamic infusion compensation
Today, there are different approaches to manage and control the stability of the anterior chamber:
- Centurion reactive approach :
- The drop in IOP is detected by the sensor in the handpiece.
- The handpiece signals to the system that adjustments are required.
- BSS bag is compressed
- IOP drop is compensated
- Proactive Adaptive Fluidics™ approach:
Dynamic infusion compensation technology continuously monitors the controlled vacuum and automatically compensates infusion pressure to maintain a stable chamber.
Thanks to the Stellaris Elite™ and this proactive technology, anterior chamber stability is enhanced and intraocular pressure (IOP) compensation during an occlusion is better managed compared to a Centurion system.
