Now available for Stellaris Elite™️ – Posterior Adaptive Fluidics™️ technology ✨

Adaptive Fluidics (AF) for posterior surgery (PAF) is an advanced firmware update for the Stellaris Elite™️ system that automates fluid infusion to the eye in response to real-time vacuum commands. It is designed to increase intraocular pressure (IOP) stability during vitrectomy surgery.

When AF is enabled, infusion pressure is dynamically adjusted in response to the surgeon-demanded vacuum. In general, AF improves IOP stability of all aspiration functions. The degree of improvement depends on needle types, gauges and vacuum settings.

What does this mean for retinal and vitrectomy procedures?
